Janice’s decades of experience working in publications, the agency world, a small global company, and a Fortune 500 company gave her more than a grounding in communications. This time has her grounded in the worlds of food and farming, grounded in a love of urban life, and a deep passion for small towns.
That’s an unusual place to find oneself. But as she chose to start a company that would bridge the food and farm worlds, Grounded Communications, LLC just seemed to hit the nail on the head.
Although Grounded Communications offers a range of services, the focus is in the food and farming worlds and the people involved in those worlds. So often, labels like farmer, foodie, environmentalist, etc get applied to individuals and organizations, but the vast majority of us are on a spectrum or something multi-dimensional. Having a depth of experience with a range of those groups and finding ways to bring viewpoints together, to foster productive conversations rather than polarize individuals, is where Grounded does our best work.
And that leads us to offer a range of services, as that skill can be applied in a lot of areas including consulting, public speaking, training (for groups and individuals) and content creation.
With a depth of strategic communications experience, Janice has a particularly strong fit in helping companies develop communications plans that accomplish business objectives in the face of obstacles.
